Evidence Required for Sick Leave Usage. The Employer may require an employee to furnish a standard written statement to justify the use of sick leave. If the administrator has reason to believe that an employee is misusing sick leave, the Board/Administration has the right to require that the employee provide a signed statement from the employee's/family member's physician attesting that the employee or the member of his immediate family is ill or injured. Further, if an employee exceeds seven (7) days of sick leave usage in any school year (July 1 - June 30), the administration may require such employee to provide the reason for further sick leave usage on the sick leave form. Falsification of either a written, signed statement, or a physician's certificate shall be grounds for disciplinary action including dismissal.
