Common use of EXTENDED UNPAID LEAVES Clause in Contracts

EXTENDED UNPAID LEAVES. The Board may permit unit members to take unpaid leaves of absence of one (1) year. A written request will be submitted to the local Superintendent and the Association President. The Superintendent may make a recommendation to the Board regarding a member’s request. Thereafter, the Board in its discretion may permit unit members to take unpaid leaves of absence of one (1) year.
