Extension for Employees on Lay. Off or Approved Medical Leave of Absence Pension contributions will be continued for up to twelve (12) months during an employee’s protected leave under the Employment Standards Act, 2000 or during a leave for a compensable injury as required by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act. In all other circumstances the company shall continue pension contributions by remitting the contribution rate defined as specified herein for any member who is off work due to lay off or approved medical leave of absence for a period of one (1) month. The company shall not continue pension contributions for any employee taking any other unpaid leave of absence. A summary of the Pension Plan is attached, for information purposes only, as Schedule 2. The Company is only responsible for the monthly contributions as described above and for providing the information required to administer the Pension Plan.

  • Employees on Layoff A classified employee who receives an Employer Contribution, who has three (3) or more years of continuous service, and who has been permanently or seasonally laid off, remains eligible for an Employer Contribution and all other benefits provided under this Article for an extended benefit eligibility period of six (6) months from the date of layoff.

  • RESTRICTIONS ON EMPLOYMENT OF FORMER STATE OFFICER OR EMPLOYEE The Engineer shall not hire a former state officer or employee of a state agency who, during the period of state service or employment, participated on behalf of the state agency in this agreement’s procurement or its negotiation until after the second anniversary of the date of the officer’s or employee’s service or employment with the state agency ceased.
