Personal/Sick Days. 16.1 Employees shall be provided four (4) days of personal/sick days per year. New hires shall earn one (1) day of sick/personal leave for every two (2) months of service up to a total of four (4) sick days until January 1st. Upon reaching January 1st, and on each successive January 1st, the employee shall be provided four (4) sick/personal days. Employees in the City of Hartford with ten (10) or more years of seniority shall receive five (5) sick/personal days each calendar year on January 1st. Employees wishing to use their personal-sick days as personal days will give their supervisor at least one (1) week notice of the desired day. The Employer will not unreasonably withhold consent. There shall be no carry over of sick/personal days from year to year and accrued sick- personal time shall expire on December 31st each year. 16.2 In addition to the aforementioned sick/personal days, each employee will receive a holiday with pay to be celebrated on his or her birthday. If for any reason an employee does not take the time off on the exact date of the birthday, another mutually acceptable day will be selected that does not conflict with work schedules. The request for a substitute day must be made to the Supervisor a minimum of two (2) weeks in advance of the birth date. The Birthday can also be used as a sick/personal day. 16.3 Should an employee be entitled to additional paid sick days under the Connecticut State Sick Leave Law than described above, the employee shall be awarded such required extra days
Personal/Sick Days. Employees may have up to forty (40) hours at straight time for the period December 1 through November 30 with pay, for personal illness or business. Requests made for personal days require a minimum of two (2) hours advance notice made to a member of supervision. Any unused hours will be paid to the employee at his straight time rate on the first full payroll period in December.
Personal/Sick Days. As of the effective date of this Agreement, the Administrator shall be credited with one hundred (1oo) personal/sick days. Each July 1 the Administrator shall be eligible for an additional allotment of fourteen (14) personal/sick days per school year to be available for use up to a maximum of two hundred forty (240) days. Any days accrued but unused over the maximum shall be deemed lost. Such personal/sick days may be used for absences due to personal or family injury or illness, bereavement, personal business or other matters that can be conducted only during the regular school day. Whenever possible, such personal/sick days shall be scheduled so as not to interfere with the operation of the District, and when used for personal purposes shall be subject to advance approval by the Superintendent. Effective July 1, 2016 the Administrator with ten (10) or more years of full-time continuous service with the Newark Central School District is eligible for retirement and submits a letter of resignation to the Superintendent four (4) months in advance of planned retirement date is eligible to receive payment for each day of unused sick leave as follows: for either days 1-100 the Administrator will receive an amount of one-hundred (100) dollars per day. This amount is not to exceed $10,000. The Administrator shall receive a non-elective employer contribution equal to the dollar value of such accumulated unused sick leave into the retiree’s 403B account within thirty (30) days of retirement.
Personal/Sick Days. The Employer will grant full-time employees forty-eight (48) hours (half day per month) paid personal/sick leave time each calendar year. An employee who has not accumulated six (6) full days in his personal/sick leave bank at the time of absence due to sickness will nevertheless receive paid personal/sick leave to a maximum of six (6) days in the calendar year, provided: (i) that further personal/sick days which are credited to his bank during the calendar year are used to reduce any outstanding balance of personal/sick days and; (ii) that in the event the employee ceases employment any outstanding balance will be used to reduce any other payments which may be owing by the Employer. The Employer has the right to require and will pay for the cost of the medical certification satisfactory to the Employer for the purpose of verifying absence due to illness for an employee who is absent three (3) consecutive days or more, unless there is a pattern of abuse in which case the Employer may request the said certification forthwith. Any unused personal/sick days will be paid annually. (iii) that any days used as personal leave must be arranged in advance with the employee’s immediate supervisor.
Personal/Sick Days. Section 1: Non-provisional full-time and part-time Employees are eligible for personal/sick days. Full-time Employees’ personal time accrues from the date of hire at the rate of 2.02 hours of personal/sick time for each two week payroll period worked. Personal/sick days will be granted to part-time Employees on a pro rata basis by rounding down to the next 7.5 hour increments based upon a 37.5 hour workweek. Personal time may only be utilized after the Employee’s provisional period. Section 2: Personal days must be pre-scheduled when possible. Personal days cannot be used in conjunction with vacation time or a holiday, unless pre-approved by the Employee’s supervisor at least two (2) business days in advance of the first day of vacation or the holiday. Section 3: Personal time may be carried over from one year to the next but an Employee may not accumulate more than 187.50 hours of accrued personal time. Accrued personal time will not be paid upon termination, resignation or retirement. No Employee shall be entitled paid personal time in excess of his/her accumulated credit. Once an Employee provides the required resignation notice, accrued personal time may not be taken.
Personal/Sick Days. Each full-time employee who has completed one (1) year of service with the Company is entitled to One (1) paid personal sick/leave days per calendar year starting January 2022 and one (1) additional paid personal sick/leave days per calendar year starting January 2024 for a total of two (2), personal sick/leave days shall not be carried forward to the next year.

  • How Much May I Contribute to a Xxxx XXX As a result of the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act (“EGTRRA”) of 2001, the maximum dollar amount of annual contributions you may make to a Xxxx XXX is $5,500 for tax years beginning in 2013 with the potential for Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) increases in $500 increments. However, these amounts are phased out or eliminated entirely if your adjusted gross income is over a certain level, as explained in more detail below.
