Bargaining unit employees may wear prescription glasses with any frame and lens while on duty as long as the eyewear does not detract from the professional appearance of the officer (e.g., mirrored, opaque, iridescent or fluorescent colors are not permitted). Sunglasses or darkly tinted glasses must not be worn inside the building.
