Common use of Families of Classifications Clause in Contracts

Families of Classifications. An employee in a classification which is part of a family and who is designated for layoff in accordance with Article 13.01 a) will have the alternative of being laid off, or in descending order of classifications displacing an employee with less seniority in a lower wage rated classification within the family provided the employee is qualified to perform the remaining work.
