Family Responsibility Leave. An In accordance with Section 52 of the Employment Standards Act, an employee is entitled to up to 5 five (5) days of unpaid leave during each employment year to meet responsibilities related to: (a) to the care, health or education of a child in the employee’s care; or (b) care or the care or health of any other member of the employee’s immediate family. Where an employee qualifies for Family Responsibility Leave and the employee has banked overtime, the employee may access banked overtime for the day(s) in question.

Family Responsibility Leave. An employee is entitled to up to 5 five (5) days of unpaid leave during each employment year to meet responsibilities related to: to (ai) the care, health or education of a child in the employee’s 's care; or , or (bii) the care or health of any other member of the employee’s 's immediate family. Additional time off for these purposes shall not be unreasonably denied. For purposes of this article "immediate family" means (i) the spouse, child, parent, guardian, sibling, grandchild or grandparent of an employee, and (ii) any person who lives with an employee as a member of the employee's family.
