Fares and travel patterns allowance. Employees will start and cease work on the job at the usual commencing and finishing times within which ordinary hours may be worked and will transfer from site to site as directed by the Employer. Other than in the case of an Employee directed by the Employer to pick up and/or return other Employees to their homes, time spent by an Employee travelling from the Employee’s home to the job and return outside ordinary hours will not be regarded as time worked. The fares and travel patterns allowance recognises travel patterns and costs peculiar to the industry, which include mobility in employment and the nature of employment on construction work.

  • Transportation Allowance When an employee is required to travel to the Hospital or to return to her home as a result of reporting to or off work between the hours of hours, (other than reporting to or off work for her regular shift) or at any time while on standby, the Hospital will pay transportation costs either by taxi or by her own vehicle at the rate of thirty-five cents cents) per mile (to a maximum of fourteen dollars or such greater amount as the Hospital may in its discretion determine for each trip between the aforementioned hours.   • Travel Pay Any employee required by the Employer to travel to a place of work other than his/her regular official duty station shall be reimbursed for travel costs, if eligible, in accordance with University policy.

  • Training Allowance Operators who are required by the Employer to provide training to a specified level and to certify to the competency of the employees so trained shall receive twelve dollars ($12) per day while training. In such cases, the most senior qualified operator with the capability to provide training in the required class of equipment shall be given the opportunity to provide such training.

  • Safety Boot Allowance ‌ Effective January 1, 2022, except for temporary and probationary employees, the Employer agrees to pay one hundred and eighty-five dollars ($185.00) in January of each year towards the cost of safety boots for each full time employee requiring them and one hundred ($100.00) dollars for each part time employee requiring them under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and/or by the Employer, provided the Employee is not eligible for safety footwear through the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.

  • Shiftwork 28.1 In this clause Shiftwork means work comprising recurring periods in which different groups of workers do the same jobs in rotation.
