Federal Civil Rights - General. The Contractor agrees that it will comply with pertinent statutes, Executive Orders and such rules as are promulgated to ensure that no person shall, on the grounds of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, or handicap be excluded from participating in any activity conducted with or benefiting from Federal assistance. This provision binds the Contractor from the bid solicitation period through the completion of this Agreement. This provision is in addition to that required of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This provision also obligates the Contractor or its transferee for the period during which Federal assistance is extended to the airport through the Airport Improvement Program, except where Federal assistance is to provide, or is in the form of: (i) personal property; (ii) real property or interest therein; (iii) structures or improvements thereon. In such cases the provision obligates the Contractor or any transferee for the longer of the following periods: (i) the period during which the property is used by the Airport Authority or any transferee for a purpose for which Federal assistance is extended or for another purpose involving the provision of similar services or benefits; or (ii) the period during which the Airport Authority or any transferee retains ownership or possession of the property.

  • Interlocal Cooperation Act RCW 39.34 allows cooperative purchasing between public agencies, and other political subdivisions. SMC 20.60.100 also allows non profits to use these agreements. If a public agency files or has filed an Intergovernmental Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with the City of Seattle, those agencies are eligible to purchase from Contracts established by the City. Such agencies may ask City of Seattle Contractors to accept orders from the agency, citing the City of Seattle contract as the basis for the order. The Vendor may accept or decline such orders. If the Vendor accepts an order from another public agency using the City of Seattle contract as the basis, the Vendor agrees to sell additional items at the contract prices, terms and conditions. The City of Seattle accepts no responsibility for the payment of the purchase price by other governmental agencies. Should the Vendor require additional pricing for such purchases, the Vendor is to name such additional pricing upon Offer to the City.

  • AND HEALTH The Employer shall comply with all applicable federal, territorial, and municipal health and safety legislation and regulations. All standards established under the legislation and regulations shall constitute minimum acceptable practice.
