Common use of Filling a Vacancy Clause in Contracts

Filling a Vacancy. The University may fill the vacancy created by the granting of parental, maternity or adoption leave in accordance with Article 25. The employee selected to fill the vacancy shall continue to do so until the employee on parental, maternity or adoption leave has: (i) at the expiration of her leave, returned to her position; (ii) resigned, or advised the University of her election not to return to the position at the expiration of her parental leave, and the University has refilled the position.
