FIRE ALARM BRACKETS AND TRAFFIC SIGNS. Item 6 (a) Remove and install fire alarm type bracket or transfer a fire alarm type bracket and associated luminaire. Item 6 (a) 1 install fire alarm bracket Item 6(b) Furnish fire alarm type bracket as per drawing H-3860. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to replace or transfer a fire alarm bracket and the associated fire alarm luminaire. Replacement brackets are to be furnished by the Contractor under appropriate item. Contractor will furnish replacement lamps, fire alarm luminaires and ballast (where necessary).

FIRE ALARM BRACKETS AND TRAFFIC SIGNS. Item 6 (a) - Remove and install fire alarm type bracket or transfer a fire alarm type bracket and associated luminaire. Item 6 (a)1 - Install fire alarm bracket. Item 6 (b) - Furnish fire alarm type bracket as per DWG No. H-3860. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to replace or transfer a fire alarm bracket and the associated fire alarm luminaire. Replacement brackets are to be furnished by NYCDOT. The Contractor will furnish replacement lamps, fire alarm luminaires and ballast (where necessary). Replacement fire alarm brackets shall be installed as follows: Wood pole shall be drilled so that the distance from the sidewalk to the bottom of the pole plate will be eighteen (18') feet for a fire alarm bracket. Further details to be in accordance with DWG No. H-3860. On any metal post, where necessary, drill hole in shaft to serve as wire way, remove all sharp edges to avoid injury to insulation of wires. Attach bracket to post with fasteners approved for this particular installation. The Contractor shall furnish fasteners. Wiring and fusing for the fire alarm luminaire shall be part of the item and shall be in accordance with DWG No. J-5135. Item 6 (c) - Remove and install or transfer a non-illuminated traffic sign. Signs, other than those of the Division of Traffic, shall be removed, stored by the Contractor, and the proper agency notified. Division of Traffic Operations signs are to be reinstalled by use of stainless steel banding furnished by the Contractor. Payment: The transfer of street name signs shall be on the basis of one Item 6 (c) per lamppost. All other Division of Traffic Operations signs shall be on the basis of one Item 6 (c) for each set of bands necessary to support signs.

  • Traffic Signals Based upon the results of the Traffic Warrant Studies, the Engineer shall identify and prepare Traffic Signal Plans for all warranted traffic signals.
