Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Employees. 1. Overtime-eligible law enforcement employees, receiving assignment pay for an extended work period, who have prior approval and work in excess of one hundred and seventy-one (171) hours in a twenty-eight (28) day period, will be compensated at the overtime rate. 2. In the event of a bona fide emergency and when the employee’s actual and designated supervisors are unavailable to grant approval, an employee may exercise discretion in determining the need to incur overtime. Not later than the next working day the employee will report to his/her actual or designated supervisor the nature of the bona fide emergency justifying overtime. A bona fide emergency is an unforeseen circumstance that requires immediate action by the employee.
