FMLA Leave Eligibility. Eligible bargaining unit employees shall be provided family and medical leave in accordance with the Family Medical Leave Act. The City utilizes a fixed twelve (12) month period measured forward from the date the employee’s first FMLA usage begins and requires that paid leave run concurrently with FMLA leave. The City reserves the right to require a fitness for duty certification before an employee returns from FMLA leave for their own serious health condition.
