Foreign or Military Teaching Sample Clauses

Foreign or Military Teaching. A leave of absence of up to two (2) years without pay may be granted to any tenured teacher for the purpose of participating in foreign or military teaching programs. Upon return from such leave, a teacher will be placed on the salary schedule at the level which he/she would have achieved had he/she remained actively employed in the school district during the period of his/her absence.

  • Catastrophic Leave Program Leave credits, as defined below, may be transferred from one or more employees to another employee, on an hour-for-hour basis, in accordance with departmental policies upon the request of both the receiving employee and the transferring employee and upon approval of the employee's appointing authority, under the following conditions:

  • NATURAL DISASTER LEAVE 29.1 Where a permanent employee is unable to attend work because of a natural disaster, i.e. bushfire or flood, they will be entitled to be paid ordinary pay for the shift they would otherwise have worked on that day. This entitlement will apply once per calendar year and is not cumulative from year to year.

  • Military Family Leave Employees may use vacation leave for leave as required by the Military Family Leave Act, RCW 49.77 and in accordance with Article 19.13.

  • Catastrophic Leave The County will administer a Catastrophic Leave procedure designed to permit individual donations of annual leave, vacation, healthcare leave (8 hours maximum per fiscal year), compensatory and/or PIP leave time to an employee who is required to be on an extended unpaid leave due to a catastrophic medical condition or other serious circumstances.
