Military Training Leave. An employee who has served with the State of Oregon or its counties, municipalities or other political subdivisions for six (6) months or more immediately preceding an application for military leave, and who is a member of the National Guard or of any reserve components of the armed forces of the United States is entitled to a leave of absence with pay for a period not exceeding fifteen (15) calendar days or eleven (11) workdays in any training year (October 1 through September 30). If the training time for which the employee is called to active duty is longer than fifteen (15) calendar days, the employee may be paid for the first fifteen (15) days only if such time is served for the purpose of discharging an obligation of annual active duty for training in the military reserve or National Guard.
Military Training Leave. In no event may an employee receive more than the number of days provided by law. Military leave shall be granted in accordance with applicable Law and state policy. In addition, employees shall be allowed to utilize paid military leave for travel to and from their place of duty and for the time spent on militarily obligated status or military duty regardless of the length of their military status or duty. Subject to supervisory approval, employees may be allowed to voluntarily adjust their shifts to accommodate military duty.

Employees covered by this Agreement who, by reason of membership in the United States Military, Navy or Air Reserve of the Rhode Island National Guard or Naval Reserve, are required by the appropriate authorities to participate in training activities or in active duty as a part of the State military force or special duty as a part of the Federal Military force, shall be granted military training leave with pay not to exceed fifteen (15) working days in any one (1) calendar year. Should the employee be required to participate in such training activities for a period greater than fifteen (15) working days, they shall be granted leave without pay for this period.
2. During the period of military training leave with pay, the employee shall accrue sick and vacation leave credits.
3. Such training activities as defined in this Section shall not include weekly drill nights or similar drill periods lasting less than one (1) day or training periods voluntarily engaged in by the employee beyond the training period required generally of the members of the respective armed service.
Military Training Leave. Employees who are members of the National Guard or federal reserve military units are entitled to paid leave for a period of up to fifteen (15) work days per year, or any greater period required by law, for performing ordered active duty training. If the active duty exceeds fifteen (15) work days, the employee will take accrued compensatory time, available vacation, and then leave without pay.
Military Training Leave. A teacher belonging to a Guard or Reserve unit will be allowed to take up to 15 calendar days per year of time off from his/her regular duties for military training. A leave not to exceed fifteen (15) calendar days per year shall be without any loss of pay provided that the teacher on such military leave shall turn over to the District payment received for such services, and no deduction shall be made from the teacher's salary because of being on military leave up to 15 calendar days.
Military Training Leave. An employee who is a member of the organized militia, of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine or Coast Guard Reserve, shall be entitled to a leave of absence for military training for a period of not more than 15 work days (pro-rated for part-time personnel) in any calendar year without loss of pay or charge to any leave.
Military Training Leave. If you are a member of the National Guard or the Federal Military Reserve, you are permitted up to two weeks of leave per year for military training. If your military pay is less than your normal wages, UMMC will pay the difference. Other military leave will be approved in accordance with applicable federal law.
