Formal Grievance, Step Two. ‌ If the decision rendered pursuant to Step 1 is not satisfactory, the grievant may appeal the decision within ten (10) standard workdays to the Department Head. The Department Head or his/her representative shall respond in writing within ten (10) standard workdays to the grievance. If the Department Head or his/her representative determines that it is desirable, he/she shall hold conferences or otherwise investigate the matter. The employee may be represented by a Union representative.
