Common use of Full-time Military Leave Clause in Contracts

Full-time Military Leave. β€Œ A full-time employee (except hourly or daily paid employees) of the Board may be granted a military leave of absence, without pay, provided that: He is inducted into the Armed Services via Selective Service Act or he volunteers in lieu of induction. He enlists in the Armed Services during the period our forces are engaged in combat. He is recalled to active service from a reserve status. The conditions and benefits of a military leave of absence for a full-time regular employee are as follows: He is to be considered as being in continuous employment of the Board during his period of service and shall receive all benefits of employment upon his return that would normally accrue to him if he had been actually filling his position (except time in military service is to count as void for credit toward continuing contract and continuous service). Credit will be given on the employee's salary schedule for each year. He is to return to the employment of the Board within sixty (60) days after receiving his final discharge or present evidence of his physical disability to return. If after the combat period is over, he refuses final discharge in order to lengthen or accept another period of service, he will forfeit his rights under this regulation.
