Annual Contract a. The teacher has a valid Florida or District teaching certificate.
b. An annual contract may be awarded to instructional personnel who have
1) Successfully completed a probationary contract with the district in the prior year without a break in service or
2) Received an annual contract from the district in the prior year without a break in service and has not received pursuant to Florida Statute 1012.34: two (2) consecutive unsatisfactory evaluations, two (2) unsatisfactory evaluations in a three (3) year period, three (3) consecutive needs improvement (NI) or a combination of NI and unsatisfactory evaluations
c. Annual contracts shall expire one day prior to the first day of pre-planning for the subsequent school year.
Annual Contract. Upon successful completion of the probationary contract, the Board may award an annual contract for a period not to exceed one (1) year. Beginning July 1, 2011, an annual contract may be awarded to teachers who have successfully completed a probationary contract year with the Board or who have received one or more annual contracts from the Board, as established in the Florida Statutes and in accordance with Article XIII, Section 5.
Annual Contract. When an individual is employed full time to fill a position created by the implementation of a new experimental program, he/she shall be issued an annual contract which may be renewed annually (maximum of five (5) years).
A. When such contract is issued, the faculty member and the Faculty Forum shall be informed of the purpose and proposed duration.
B. The annual contract shall be equivalent to the probationary contract in the event that the annual contract employee is later issued a probationary contract. In such cases, if the annual service is accumulated within five (5) years of issuance of a probationary contract, service under the annual contract shall be credited in either whole semesters or half years, whichever is appropriate. Fractions shall be rounded down to the nearest whole semester or half year.
C. All provisions of the Master Agreement will be in full force and effect except that failure to extend or offer an annual contract shall not be subject to the grievance procedure, nor shall the annual faculty member accrue seniority while on an annual contract.
Annual Contract. The College may offer instructional adjunct faculty an annual contract, rather than quarterly contracts, based on the adjunct faculty salary schedule. This in no way alters the “at will” status of adjunct faculty.

Annual Contract. A. Senior Associate status is not a guarantee of continued employment beyond the annual contract.
B. The benefits and responsibilities of Senior Associate status begin the quarter following the awarding of Senior Associate status, excluding summer.
C. Before June 30th of each year, the College may offer Senior Associates an annual contract, which shall cover fall, winter, and spring quarters.
D. If a Senior Associate does not receive an annual contract any assigned courses are paid at the Senior Associate rate with the responsibility of office hours.
Annual Contract a probationary continuing contract line for those faculty in the process of earning a continuing contract.
Annual Contract. A. Faculty members who are in their probationary period and are considered to be on a track for continuing contract will be issued a Faculty Contract Recommendation Form completed for review by the faculty member prior to March 15 each year. This form will contain in summary format the supervisor's recommendations concerning the contract/employment status, salary status, and contract period for the faculty member for the succeeding year. The faculty member will have five (5) working days to review this form, discuss its contents with his/her supervisor, sign the form, append any comments, and return it to his/her supervisor.
i. The annual contract shall not create the expectancy of continued employment.
ii. Non-renewal of annual contract shall not entitle the faculty member to the reason(s) for non-renewal. Non-renewal of an annual contract is not subject to grievance, arbitration, or hearing. However, this shall not preclude the use of the grievance and arbitration procedure to determine whether the process and procedures were followed.
