Common use of Full-Time Positions/Filling Clause in Contracts

Full-Time Positions/Filling. When a part-time employee works the basic work week for twelve (12) consecutive weeks (exclusive of replacement hours caused by the absence of another employee who is absent due to W.C.B., L.T.D., vacation, or other leaves of absence to a maximum of six (6) months or maternity and parental leaves up to a combined maximum number of weeks outlined in Article 7.4 (a) and (b)), a full-time position will be deemed to exist and will be filled in accordance with Article 11.3 of this Agreement. This provision shall not apply to Courtesy Clerks or other employees hired for special projects or group assignments.
