Common use of Grievance Investigations Clause in Contracts

Grievance Investigations. A Labor Council Representative may investigate grievances as defined herein and formal disciplinary action, once it has been issued by the City. To the extent practicable, such investigation will be conducted so as not to interfere with normal duty hours of the Labor Council Representative or any other Bargaining Unit Member. With the prior permission of the Chief of Police or designee, the Labor Council Representative may be allowed reasonable time without loss of pay for such investigation. Permission will not be unreasonably denied.
