Grievance Procedure First Stage. Within ten (10) working days of the employee becoming aware of a possible grievance, a grievance statement shall be prepared, signed by the employee (or signed by the Grievance Chairperson on behalf of the employee) and taken with or without the xxxxxxx involved, directly to the appropriate Manager. Alternatively the employee may request the xxxxxxx to present the signed grievance to the appropriate Manager on the employee=s behalf. The appropriate Manager may request the presence of the employee in any further process of the grievance. A copy of the grievance shall be provided by the Union to the Staff Relations Officer in Human Resources. The appropriate Manager shall have ten (10) working days from the receipt of the grievance in which to render a decision in writing to the employee with a copy to the Union and Human Resources.
