GROUP D. Central Huron Secondary School Goderich DCI Listowel District Secondary School South Huron District High School Stratford Central Secondary School XX Xxxxxx Northwestern Secondary School Any significant change in the enrolment or physical aspects of any school in the above groups could affect the grouping. These guidelines are specifically intended to help in the application of Article 19.17 of the Collective Agreement. While it is hoped that the following guidelines are helpful in providing some uniformity of application, the guidelines cannot override the specific wording and intent of the parties as set in the Collective Agreement. Where any question arises between the guidelines as set out and the intent of the Collective Agreement, the employee should consult with the Director or his/her designate before making a decision. It should also be understood that the guidelines apply to the granting of leave with pay, which in turn is not chargeable to sick leave credits. Quite aside from the guidelines, it is possible, with the concurrence of the Director or his/her designate, to grant leave without pay for other reasons or for periods of time in excess of that permitted under the Article cited above. Finally, while past practice is helpful in applying the guidelines and the clauses, there will always be unusual or exceptional circumstances which deserve individual consideration.
