Common use of Health and Safety Courses Clause in Contracts

Health and Safety Courses. (a) The Employer will arrange, in consultation with the Workers' Compensation Board and the Union, an appropriate training program for all members of the Health and Safety Committee, such training to be provided during normal working hours at no loss in salary or benefits to committee members. (b) In accordance with (a) above, each member of the Health and Safety Committee is entitled to an annual leave of eight hours, or a longer period if prescribed by regulation, for the purposes of attending occupational health and safety training courses conducted by or with the approval of the Board.
