Health Plan. The District will provide group health benefits through the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) for all permanent full-time employees and permanent part-time employees regularly scheduled to work at least twenty (20) hours per week in classes represented by the Association. The CalPERS health care program, as regulated by the Public Employees’ Medical and Hospital Care Act (PEMHCA), regulations issued pursuant to PEMHCA, and the administration of PEMHCA by CalPERS, controls on all health plan issues for employees who receive health care coverage from CalPERS, including, but not limited to, eligibility, benefit plans, benefit levels, minimum premium subsidies, and costs.
