Holidays that fall on the Employee’s Day Off. When a holiday falls on the employee's scheduled day off: The Employer will provide the employee an alternate day off within the workweek or, for law enforcement employees, within the twenty-eight (28) day period; or, By agreement between the employee and the appointing authority or designee that an alternate holiday cannot be scheduled, the Employer will pay the employee for the number of holiday hours the employee is entitled to under the same proportional basis that their appointment bears to fulltime employment. For a full-time employee, this equates to a maximum of eight (8) hours of holiday pay.
