Hourly Substitutes. Teachers assigned to teach during a scheduled preparation period shall be paid $42.73 during the first year of the Contract and $42.73 during the second year of the Contract if the scheduled preparation period was twenty-five (25) minutes or more and $20.29 during the first year of the Contract and $20.29 during the second year of the Contract if the scheduled preparation period was less than twenty-five (25) minutes. Teachers who substitute may elect compensatory time as per Section 8 in lieu of monetary compensation. Part-time teachers whose schedule allows them to substitute for other staff beyond their contracted duty day shall be paid at the above rates.

Hourly Substitutes. Hourly substitutes for secondary assignments will be assigned by the Administrator. Hourly substitutes will be assigned to an opening if the teacher has an open period and is willing to assume the extra load. If more than one teacher is available for duty during the period in question, the willingness and equitable distribution of the load will be considered. The rate per hour shall be the amount stated in item G above.

  • Substitutes 10.5 The responsibility for the selection, orientation and employment of substitutes rests at the local school level. The principal, or his/her designee, shall be responsible for obtaining qualified substitutes. Teachers shall not be required to obtain their own substitutes.

  • Long-Term Substitutes Long-term substitutes are defined as teachers hired to fill the temporary vacancy of a teacher on leave in the same assignment for more than sixty (60) days. The employment of long-term substitutes shall automatically expire at the end of the period of substitution or upon return to duty of the teacher from an approved leave of absence without any action by the Board or further notice to the teacher.

  • Partial Disposal During Term of Service Agreement Throughout the Term of the Service Agreement, LEA may request partial disposal of Student Data obtained under the Service Agreement that is no longer needed. Partial disposal of data shall be subject to LEA’s request to transfer data to a separate account, pursuant to Article II, section 3, above.
