Housing Authority-Supplied Utilities. If indicated by an (X) on Part II of the Lease Agreement, the Housing Authority will supply the indicated utility for Tenants choosing to pay income-based rent: electricity, natural gas, heating fuel, water, sewer service. The Housing Authority will not be liable for the failure to supply utility service for any cause whatsoever beyond its control. Utility allowance is not included in flat rents. If indicated by an (X) on Part II of the Lease Agreement, the Housing Authority will provide a cooking range and refrigerator. Prior written authorization is mandatory when a resident wishes to have a second freezer in their apartment. Second refrigerators are not allowed under any circumstances. Washers and dryers are permitted in Family site units and at Westgate Villa. All other units located in sites designated as Elderly/Disabled are not equipped with hook-ups; therefore washers and dryers are not permitted under any circumstances. The Housing Authority bears no responsibility or liability for any appliances that are not provided by the Housing Authority.

Other major electrical appliances, air conditioners, freezers, extra refrigerators, washers, dryers, space heaters etc., may be installed only upon prior submission of written notice to the Housing Authority, with the prior written approval from the Housing Authority and pursuant to relevant Housing Authority Policies. A monthly service charge will be payable by Tenant for the electricity used in the operation of such appliances, as provided in Part II of this Lease shown on the Schedule posted in the Project Office.
