Illness and Injury Prevention Program. The District shall pay the cost of this required training and shall pay Part-time unit members to attend at the rate set forth in Article 21G.2b. The District shall pay for the Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course for all unit members in programs where Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) credentials are required by this Agreement or regulatory agencies. (For example: including, but not limited to, Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Emergency Medical Technician, Medical Assisting, Fire Science.)

Illness and Injury Prevention Program. The Recipient will review a current Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) report on all applicants for vehicle operator and shall reject any applicant with one or more moving violations within the past two years or with any failure to appear in court for driving under the influence. The Recipient will join the California DMV Pull Notice Program, whereby the Recipient shall be notified of any activity on a transit vehicle operator’s driving record. Any operator exceeding the California DMV point system total or with a revoked or suspended license will not be allowed to operate an SBCAG-owned vehicle.

SBCAG reserves the right to require that the Contractor replace any driver not acceptable to SBCAG within 10 days of written notice to the Contractor.

  • Workplace Violence Prevention and Crisis Response (applicable to any Party and any subcontractors and sub-grantees whose employees or other service providers deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services): Party shall establish a written workplace violence prevention and crisis response policy meeting the requirements of Act 109 (2016), 33 VSA §8201(b), for the benefit of employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party shall, in preparing its policy, consult with the guidelines promulgated by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for Preventing Workplace Violence for Healthcare and Social Services Workers, as those guidelines may from time to time be amended. Party, through its violence protection and crisis response committee, shall evaluate the efficacy of its policy, and update the policy as appropriate, at least annually. The policy and any written evaluations thereof shall be provided to employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party will ensure that any subcontractor and sub-grantee who hires employees (or contracts with service providers) who deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services, complies with all requirements of this Section.

  • Emergency Medical Condition A medical condition manifesting itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that a prudent layperson, who possesses an average knowledge of health and medicine, could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: (1) placing the health of the individual (or with respect to a pregnant woman, the health of the woman or her unborn child) in serious jeopardy; (2) serious impairment to body functions; or (3) serious dysfunction of any body organ or part.
