Common use of Illness In Line Of Duty Clause in Contracts

Illness In Line Of Duty. Illness in line of duty is granted up to a maximum of ten (10) days per year when any employee is absent from his/her duty because of personal injury received in the discharge of his/her duty, or because of illness from any contagious infectious disease contracted in school work. Any personal injury received while on duty will be considered as a qualifying injury under this policy, provided the injury is reported to the immediate supervisor within twenty-four (24) hours or the next working day. Contagious or infectious diseases refer to those normally related to children such as measles, chicken pox, and mumps. Additional emergency sick leave may be granted out of local funds for such terms under such conditions as the Board shall deem proper.
