Common use of Illness of a Family Member Clause in Contracts

Illness of a Family Member. For an absence that does not qualify under the Family/Medical Leave Act (FMLA), a unit member is permitted to use up to seven (7) work days of earned sick leave per year for illness of a member’s household or the member’s parent. Such absence will be deducted from the member’s sick leave.
