Impact of Ineffective Rating Sample Clauses

Impact of Ineffective Rating a. Subject Examination When a teacher of core subjects (English language arts, mathematics, science, foreign language, government, economics, art, music, history, and geography) receives an Ineffective rating on an evaluation for two of the three most recent school years, that teacher must take and pass an examination selected by the Ohio Department of Education, in the fields/subjects/content knowledge being taught by that teacher, and provide proof of such passage; if the teacher passes, the teacher will not be required to take the exam again for three subsequent years. The Board will pay only the cost of the first such exam. In the event the teacher does not achieve a passing score, he/she must repeat the exam; if a passing score has not been achieved by the third exam, he/she may be terminated.
