Impact of Salary Upon Reclassification. Where a position is re-assessed and classified to a class with a higher maximum salary, any active employee who occupies the position at the time of the reclassification will be paid in accordance with the salary scale for the higher classification. An employee who is already earning more than the minimum of the new classification shall be provided with a three percent (3%) increase and will be assigned to a step on the new grid that is closest to, but not lower than, this amount.
