Ineligibility for Sickness Allowances. No employees shall receive any sickness allowance when the following conditions exist:

• Eligibility for Sick Leave Subject to the provisions herein, employees and officers (hereinafter called "employees") who are absent from their duties because of illness or disability are eligible for sick leave.

• Eligibility for Sick Leave with Pay Employees shall be eligible for sick leave with pay immediately upon accrual.

• Ineligible for Sick Leave Employees are not eligible for sick leave with pay for any period during which they are on leave of absence without pay, under suspension, on strike, on layoff, or locked out.

• ELIGIBILITY FOR SERVICES The COUNTY shall determine eligibility for receiving services under this agreement.

• Eligibility for Benefits A member will not be eligible to receive Long Term Disability benefits until their Income Protection benefits have expired.

• Maintaining Eligibility for Employer Contribution The employer's contribution continues as long as the employee remains on the payroll in an insurance eligible position. Employees who complete their regular school year assignment shall receive coverage through August 31.

• Special Maternity Allowance for Totally Disabled Employees (a) An employee who:

• Pension Contributions While on Short Term Disability Contributions for OMERS Plan Members When an employee/plan member is on short-term sick leave and receiving less than 100% of regular salary, the Board will continue to deduct and remit OMERS contributions based on 100% of the employee/plan member’s regular pay.

Further, all regular part-time employees shall receive paid leave on a ration of paid leave time accrued to the number of hours worked in the work week. All non-regular part-time, temporary, and seasonal employees will not be eligible to receive paid leave.
