Eligibility for Sick Leave Subject to the provisions herein, employees and officers (hereinafter called "employees") who are absent from their duties because of illness or disability are eligible for sick leave.
Eligibility for Sick Leave with Pay Employees shall be eligible for sick leave with pay immediately upon accrual.
Ineligible for Sick Leave Employees are not eligible for sick leave with pay for any period during which they are on leave of absence without pay, under suspension, on strike, on layoff, or locked out.

Further, all regular part-time employees shall receive paid leave on a ration of paid leave time accrued to the number of hours worked in the work week.
