Informal Grievance Procedure. Every effort shall be made to resolve a grievance as near as possible to the point of origin through discussion between the employee and his/her immediate supervisor. If, after such discussion, the employee does not feel that the grievance has been satisfactorily resolved, he/she shall have the right to discuss the matter with the supervisor's superior, if any, within the organization. Otherwise, the employee shall have the right to discuss the matter with the Chief of Police.
