Instructional Technology and Related Instructional Materials. (a) The University and UFF recognize the increasing development and use of technology, and related instructional materials, such as videotapes, interactive television, and computer software, to support teaching and learning and to enhance the fundamental relationship between the faculty member and the student. (1) Instructional technology may be used to deliver distance learning. (2) The University and UFF affirm that instructional technology and related instructional materials should be used to the mutual benefit of the University and the faculty member. (3) Development of new technology for use in delivering instructional material is an invention covered by Section 22.6, and is distinguished from the use of existing or new technology to deliver instructional material, which are works covered by Section 22.4. (b) When the University assigns a faculty member to develop or provide instruction through the use of instructional technology or instructional material specifically designed to be used with such instructional technology, including but not limited to distance learning, the University shall provide to such faculty member: (1) Training and resources to support the assignment for adaptation of instructional material to instructional technology; and (2) Additional compensation if the assignment is an overload assignment and/or adjustment in a faculty member’s assignment.

  • Instructional Materials A. The Board recognizes that appropriate texts, library reference facilities, maps and globes, laboratory equipment, audio-visual equipment, art supplies, athletic equipment, current periodicals, standard tests and questionnaires, computers, and similar materials are the tools of the teaching profession. B. Efforts shall be continued to seek and use instructional materials which reflect the contribution and presence of diverse ethnic and cultural groups. C. 1. Selection of instructional materials for each school shall be made by a committee of teachers chosen by the faculty within that school.

  • BOOKS AND INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS The total cost of books and instructional materials for school district students participating as part of this CCAP agreement will be borne by school district.

Without limitation to ARTICLE 7, all Materials supplied under this Section 2.1.9 are supplied “as is”, with no warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, and must be used with prudence and appropriate caution in any experimental work, as not all of their characteristics may be known. Following the completion of the activities for which the applicable Materials were supplied under this Section 2.1.9 or upon the Transferor Party’s earlier request, the Transferee Party will either destroy or return to the Transferor Party, at the Transferor Party’s sole discretion, all Materials provided by the Transferor Party that are unused; provided that Vertex will have the right to retain and continue to use any Materials provided by Company that Vertex has the right to Exploit under the license granted to Vertex pursuant to Section 4.1.1.

  • Distribution of Written Materials Any written materials distributed by the Trustee to the Beneficiaries pursuant to this Agreement shall be sent by mail (or otherwise communicated in the same manner as Holdings utilizes in communications to holders of Holdings Shares subject to applicable regulatory requirements and provided such manner of communications is reasonably available to the Trustee) to each Beneficiary at its address as shown on the books of the Partnership. The Partnership shall provide or cause to be provided to the Trustee for purposes of communication, on a timely basis and without charge or other expense: (a) a current List; and (b) upon the request of the Trustee, mailing labels to enable the Trustee to carry out its duties under this Agreement.
