Common use of Instructional Tutors Clause in Contracts

Instructional Tutors. 1. Regularly employed, hourly paid tutors are also included in the bargaining unit, with the express understanding that tutors are paid on an hourly basis as needed and not in accordance with the salary schedule included in this collective bargaining agreement. Tutors shall not replace classroom teachers or special education teachers. The purpose of these tutors is to provide assistance to teachers and intervention to students to meet the state testing standards.
