Investment of Funds in the. Collection Account and the Distribution Account.
(a) The Servicer may invest the funds in the Collection Account and the Trustee may (but is not obligated to) invest funds in the Distribution Account during the Trustee Float Period, and shall (except during the Trustee Float Period) invest such funds in the Distribution Account at the direction of the Servicer (for purposes of this Section 3.12, such Accounts are referred to as an "Investment Account"), in one or more Permitted Investments bearing interest or sold at a discount, and maturing, unless payable on demand no later than the Business Day immediately preceding the date on which such funds are required to be withdrawn from such account pursuant to this Agreement. If no investment instruction is given in a timely manner, the Trustee shall hold the funds in the Distribution Account uninvested. All such Permitted Investments shall be held to maturity, unless payable on demand. Any investment of funds in an Investment Account (other than investments made during the Trustee Float Period) shall be made in the name of the Servicer. The Servicer shall be entitled to sole possession (except with respect to investment direction of funds and any income and gain realized on any investment in the Distribution Account during the Trustee Float Period) over each such investment, and any certificate or other instrument evidencing any such investment shall be delivered directly to the Servicer, or with respect to investments during the Trustee Float Period, the Trustee or its agent, together with any document of transfer necessary to transfer title to such investment to the Servicer, or with respect to investments during the Trustee Float Period, the Trustee or its agent. In the event amounts on deposit in an Investment Account are at any time invested in a Permitted Investment payable on demand, the Servicer, or with respect to investments during the Trustee Float Period, the Trustee may:

(a) During the Securities Administrator's Float Period, the Securities Administrator shall hold the funds in the Distribution Account uninvested, and shall have the benefit of the use of such funds. During the Master Servicer's Float Period, the Master Servicer shall hold the funds in the Master Servicing Account uninvested, and shall have the benefit of the use of such funds.
(b) The Securities Administrator or its Affiliates are permitted to receive compensation that could be deemed to be in the Securities Administrator's economic self-interest for (i) serving as investment adviser, administrator, shareholder, servicing agent, custodian or sub-custodian with respect to certain of the Permitted Investments, (ii) using Affiliates to effect transactions in certain Permitted Investments and (iii) effecting transactions in certain Permitted Investments. The Master Servicer or its Affiliates are permitted to receive compensation that could be deemed to be in the Master Servicer's economic self-interest for (i) serving as investment adviser, administrator, shareholder, servicing agent, custodian or sub-custodian with respect to certain of the Permitted Investments, (ii) using Affiliates to effect transactions in certain Permitted Investments and (iii) effecting transactions in certain Permitted Investments. Such compensation shall not be considered an amount that is reimbursable for payable pursuant to this Agreement.
Investment of Funds in the. Collection Account and the Distribution Account.
(a) The Servicer may direct any depository institution maintaining the Collection Account to invest the funds in the Collection Account in one or more Permitted Investments bearing interest or sold at a discount, and maturing, unless payable on demand, (i) no later than the Business Day immediately preceding the date on which such funds are required to be withdrawn from such account pursuant to this Agreement, if a Person other than the Trustee is the obligor thereon, and (ii) no later than the date on which such funds are required to be withdrawn from such account pursuant to this Agreement, if the Trustee is the obligor thereon. In the absence of such direction, funds in the Collection Account shall remain uninvested. Any such Permitted Investments shall be held to maturity, unless payable on demand. Funds in the Distribution Account shall be uninvested. Any investment of funds in the Collection Account shall be made in the name of the Servicer.
