Common use of Job Placement Clause in Contracts

Job Placement. Prior to layoff, the County shall attempt to place employees in a vacant position. The employee must have received formal layoff notice and requested reassignment to another department and/or position. Attempted placement shall be conducted in accordance with the County’s Civil Service Rules. Job placement under this article shall not be grievable or arbitrable under this MOU, but may be appealed to the Director of Human Resources for review.
