Job-Related Injuries. An employee incurring an on-the-job injury shall be paid their regular rate of pay for the remainder of the scheduled workday without deduction from vacation or sick leave accruals. An employee who incurs a compensable illness or injury and receives workers’ compensation benefits may elect to use accumulated vacation or sick leave, or both, during an absence resulting from an injury or illness for which a claim for workers’ compensation is made or while an award of benefits is pending. Such leave may be used on the following basis:
