The parties agree that the intent of this agreement is to ensure that all employees shall have the maximum possible access to the Occupational Health and Safety Committee structure. Where designated safety representatives pursuant to (c) above hold safety meetings, the records of such meetings and matters discussed shall be forwarded to the Committee in a timely manner.
(1) The Employer shall initiate and maintain, at the regular place of employment, local occupational health and safety committees as required by the Workers Compensation Act.
(2) Local occupational health and safety committees may encompass more than one component.
(de) Employees who are representatives of the Committee or designated safety representatives shall not suffer any loss of basic pay for the time spent attending a committee meeting, job site inspection or accident investigation in accordance with WCB Regulationsinvestigation.
(ef) Committee meetings shall be scheduled during normal working hours whenever practicable. Time spent by designated committee members attending meetings held on their days day of rest or outside their regularly scheduled hours of or work shall not be considered time worked, but such committee members shall receive equivalent time off at straight-time.

(h) Where more than one agency occupies a facility in common, a committee may be established by mutual agreement to encompass more than one agency.
