Joint Union/Management Benefits Advisory Committee. A. The State and the Union agree to establish a Joint Union/Management Benefits Advisory Committee to review benefits and to make recommendations on cost containment. This committee shall meet, at least, quarterly. Topics may include, but are not limited to, eligibility, cost containment, number and quality of benefits provided, competitiveness among providers, and standardization of benefit design, utilization, promotion, and cost, wellness and health promotion. This committee shall be advisory in nature. B. The committee shall be comprised of an equal number of Union and management representatives, the total number to be determined by the CalHR. The committee shall be co-chaired by a labor and a management member. C. Union members on the committee shall serve without loss of compensation. All other expenses shall be the responsibility of each party participating on this committee. D. The CalHR will provide necessary staff to support the committee.
