Common use of Jury Duty and Court Services Clause in Contracts

Jury Duty and Court Services. When a teacher is called for jury service or subpoenaed to serve as a witness in a work- related matter, he/she shall give his/her immediate supervisor proper notice and the Board shall pay the teacher his/her regular pay if the teacher endorses the jury or witness fee(s) over to the Board. It is the responsibility of the teacher to collect for his/her court services.

When a teacher is called for jury service service, or is subpoenaed to serve as a witness in a work- related mattercourt action, except if that court action is an action adverse to the Board, he/she shall give his/her immediate supervisor proper notice and the Board shall pay will reimburse the teacher his/her regular pay if the teacher endorses the jury or witness fee(s) over to the Boardpay. It is the responsibility of the teacher to collect for his/her court services.
