Landing and Parking. Landing and Parking expenses are the charges that the airports impose on carriers for use of the runways and parking the aircraft. Landing and Parking for the year ending June 30th, 2008 is expected to be $2,375K, an increase over the budgeted results for 2006/07 of $750K. The increase is due primarily to increase in rates.

Landing and Parking for the year ending June 30th, 2009 was $1,999K. The budget anticipates a slight reduction in this to $1,635K. It is driven largely by schedule. The budget calls for a 2009/10 expense of $5,714K The decrease is due to a reduction in the number of flights to expensive destinations such as New York and Chicago along with the addition of cheaper destinations such as La Ceiba. Current contract negotiating and thorough review means that savings will be realized going forward.
