Recruitment Through Jobcentre Plus 5.1 One of the key objectives of the Department for Work and Pensions is to move people from welfare into work. DWP has a Great Britain-wide network of Jobcentre Plus offices that provide job broking services for unemployed people. The Contractor is therefore required to notify Jobcentre Plus when recruiting staff for any entry-level job vacancies located within Great Britain, which may arise from the delivery of their contract to the Authority.
Designated Teacher for Looked After Children 17A) The Academy Trust will in respect of the Academy act in accordance with, and be bound by, all relevant statutory and regulatory provisions and have regard to any guidance and codes of practice issued pursuant to such provisions, as they apply at any time to a maintained school, relating to the designation of a person to manage the teaching and learning programme for children who are looked after by a LA and are registered pupils at the school. For the purpose of this clause, any reference to the governing body of a maintained school in such statutory and regulatory provisions, or in any guidance and code of practice issued pursuant to such provisions, shall be deemed to be references to the Governing Body of the Academy Trust. Services and Information for Persons with Limited English Proficiency A. Grantee shall take reasonable steps to provide services and information both orally and in writing, in appropriate languages other than English, to ensure that persons with limited English proficiency are effectively informed and can have meaningful access to programs, benefits and activities. TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM A. As part of the University policy to encourage staff members to further their formal education, the Tuition Assistance Program for Employees was established. Under the Tuition Assistance plan, qualified Employees will be issued vouchers which will enable them to register without paying tuition. (Incidental fees, however, must be paid by the Employee.)

Drug and Alcohol Testing – Safety-Sensitive Functions A. Employees required to have a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) are subject to pre-employment, post-accident, random and reasonable suspicion testing in accordance with the U.S. Department of Transportation rules, Coast Guard Regulations (46 CFR Part 16) or the Federal Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991. The testing will be conducted in accordance with current Employer policy.
Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.
