Common use of Laser Safety Officer Allowance Clause in Contracts

Laser Safety Officer Allowance. Where an employee is qualified to perform duties associated with laser safety and has been appointed by his/her employer to carry out the duties of a Laser Safety Officer as defined in Australian Standards 2211-1991 and 2397-1993, s/he shall be paid an allowance of $1.99 per day or part thereof whilst carrying out such duties. It shall be paid as a flat amount without attracting any premium or penalty. This clause does not apply to persons other than appointed Laser Safety Officers.
