FARES AND TRAVEL. Where an employee is provided with a fully maintained company vehicle the employee shall not be entitled to the daily fares allowance and the allowance paid to an employee for the use of their own vehicle.
FARES AND TRAVEL. The parties recognise that there is a need for more flexible travel provisions for projects located outside the Counties of Cumberland, Northumberland, Camden and radial boundary areas. In an effort to acquire projects outside of these boundary areas and utilise the diverse living locations of Company Employees, who reside close to a county boundary, the parties agree that Employees may be required to travel to projects located outside the boundaries (as stated above) up to 50 kms from their place of residence without incurring excess fares and travelling allowances. This provision does not negate the daily allowance in clause 14.1 of this Agreement. Employees who are provided with a Company vehicle shall not be entitled to a payment of the daily fares allowance. Use of Company provided vehicle is deemed to be a privilege and the driver of the vehicle shall pay fines for parking infringements, and for any other traffic offence, at the time the offence occurs. Company vehicles are to be maintained in good condition and treated with respect and all care is to be taken by the driver. These allowances will not apply to Employees who reside in the local region where the Employee is locally engaged on the Company’s project but maintains a separate place of residence from that recorded on the Employees job application form. Payment of the Daily Fares allowance shall not be made for a rostered day off.
FARES AND TRAVEL. A.9.1.1 The rate of pay for travelling time shall be ordinary rates, except on Sundays and holidays, when it shall be time and a half. The maximum travelling time to be paid for shall be twelve hours out of each twenty-four hours or when sleeping berth is provided by the employer for all night travel, eight out of every twenty-four.
A.9.1.2 For boat and/or air travelling the fares allowed shall be tourist class, and for rail travel second class except where night travelling is involved, when they shall be first class with sleeping berth wherever available. By agreement between the parties an employer shall pay the appropriate fares together with reasonable expenses incurred whilst travelling.
FARES AND TRAVEL. Employees shall start and cease work on the job at the usual commencing and finishing times and shall transfer from site to site as directed by the Company. Time spent by an Employee travelling from the Employee’s home to the job and return outside ordinary hours shall not be regarded as time worked. A daily fares allowance of $15.50 per day shall be payable for each day the Employee attends for work within a fifty (50) kilometre radius of their normal place of employment. Where an employee travels daily from inside the radial area mentioned above to a job outside that area, he/she shall be paid, in addition to the daily fares allowance, time outside ordinary hours reasonable spent in travel from the radius to the job and return to that radius. This time shall be paid at the ordinary hourly rate to the next quarter of an hour. Where an employee uses their own vehicle in such travel between radius and job, they shall receive 45 cents per kilometre for expenses incurred. Where an Employee is required to utilise their own vehicle to transfer between sites, they will be paid a rate of $0.85 per kilometre.
