Layoff and Recall - Long Term. In the event of a proposed layoff of a permanent or long-term nature, the Home will: i) Provide the Union with at least forty-five (45) days’ notice, or the notice given to the most senior Employee laid off, whichever is greater; ii) Meet with the local Union through the Union Management Committee to review the following: (a) the reasons causing layoffs; (b) the service which the Home will undertake after the layoff;
