Learning Tours Sample Clauses

Learning Tours. The purpose of the learning tours is to enhance staff understanding of the Agency's mission, with particular emphasis on the work of its project partners. During each year of this Agreement, the Agency shall hold a lottery among the staff at all Agency offices in the U.S. for participation in learning tours. In total, two (2) staff members and two (2) alternates from all Agency offices shall be selected for participation. The senior leadership team will recommend the destinations for the learning tours, based on Agency priorities and will develop, along with the selected employees, itineraries for the tours. Learning Tours shall take place in countries with an Agency field program (including the United States). Learning Tours shall not exceed ten (10) working days in duration. Eligibility for the lottery shall be restricted to employees who have not traveled overseas at the Agency's expense within the last three (3) years to visit an Oxfam country program and have completed at minimum twelve (12) continuous months of employment at the Agency. In the event that the selected employee(s) are unable to undertake their Learning Tour during the year in question, an alternate shall be given the opportunity. Upon returning from their learning tour, the employee will give a briefing at a staff meeting to share observations and experiences.
