Common use of Leave for Family Illness Clause in Contracts

Leave for Family Illness. In the case of illness of an Employee's parent, spouse, or child who resides with the Employee, the Employee may be granted leave with pay for up to three (3) days per annum for the purpose of caring for such family member(s) provided such family member(s) requires care and no one other than the Employee can provide such care. The Employer may require proof of the need for such leave as they consider necessary. These days shall be deducted from the Employee's sick leave entitlement.

In the case of illness of an Employee's parent, spouse, or child child, or any relative who permanently resides with the Employee, the an Employee may be granted leave with pay for up to three five (35) days per annum calendar year for the purpose of caring for such family member(s) provided such family member(s) requires care and no one other than the Employee can provide such care. The Employer may require proof of the need for such leave as they consider necessary. These days shall be deducted from the Employee's sick leave entitlement.

Leave for Family Illness. In the case of illness of a member of an Employee's parent, spouse, or child ’s immediate family who permanently resides with the Employee, and when no one at home other than the Employee can provide for the needs of the ill family member, the Employee may be granted paid sick leave with pay for up to three (3) days per annum for the purpose of caring for such family member(s) provided such family member(s) requires care and no one other than the Employee can provide such carecalendar year. The Employer may require proof of the need for such sick leave as they consider necessary. These days shall be deducted from the Employee's Employees sick leave entitlemententitlement pursuant to Article 22.01. The request for leave must be made to the Employee’s immediate supervisor prior to the leave. Immediate family shall mean the Employee’s husband, wife, son, daughter, father or mother.
