Leave for Political Office. An Employee who is elected to a full-time political office shall be granted upon request, in writing and fourteen (14) days in advance, a leave of absence. During such leave the Employee will maintain seniority accrued to the date of commencement of such leave. The posting of the resulting vacancy shall not be bound by the term/task time provisions of Article 13.02 and the duration of the term may be extended without re-posting. Upon receipt of a written request at least four (4) weeks in advance the University will return the Employee to the same or comparable position the Employee was in at the start of the leave.
